Job summary

BIC World is seeking a seasoned Production Manager to lead a 3-shift manufacturing operation with 100+ staff in Milford, CT. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while directing complex capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements across the site.

The ideal candidate brings deep industrial leadership, strong project management, and hands-on expertise in manufacturing technologies, automation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial project management, operations, or related technical environment.
• Significant experience leading complex technical/industrial projects from concept to production stabilization.
• Experience managing capital projects involving manufacturing equipment, automation, tooling, and capacity expansion.
• Strong project management including budgeting, CAPEX, scheduling, risk management, and governance.
• Technical understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, automation, tooling, and production technologies.
• Experience using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics (OEE, scrap, downtime, throughput, cost) and drive improvements.
• Leadership with cross-functional influence across production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across a 3-shift environment with production supervisors and managers.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity improvements and oversee CAPEX projects.
• Define requirements, layouts, and production flows in partnership with key stakeholders.
• Own the production budget and monitor variances in labor, materials, and overhead.
• Lead structured root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to sustain performance.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methods to eliminate waste and improve reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
