Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic examinations for physician diagnoses. The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiology program, ARRT registration or eligibility, an IDNS license, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• Certificate or Associate Degree in Radiology Technology.
• ARRT Registered or registry eligible.
• IDNS Licensed.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Previous experience is desirable.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic understanding of RIS, and basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and emergency call back to accommodate staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by a physician.
• Determination of appropriate exposure factors and positioning patients using immobilization devices to ensure optimum film quality.
• Adherence to department standards of radiographic quality.
• Maintains a professional, cooperative attitude with coworkers, physicians, patients and families.
• Maintains supplies and a safe environment for patient care.
• May be required to sit or stand for long periods and assist with patient lifting.
