Job summary

Kikkoman Foods Inc. Jefferson Plant is seeking a working leader to supervise shifts under the foreman, assign tasks, and ensure accurate execution across all areas.

Candidates need 3+ years in food manufacturing, strong communication, meticulous attention to detail, and basic mechanical understanding, with a commitment to safety and food safety policies. You will train operators, optimize productivity, and cover foreman duties when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assign and check work per foreman in each area.
• Manage staffing to align with production schedules.
• Train operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Monitor utilization of personnel and equipment for productivity.
• Report unusual conditions to foreman for timely corrections.
• Perform periodic inspections and provide recommendations.
• During off-shift, ensure plant safety and supervise helpers.
• Assume foreman duties in their absence.
• Follow all food safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Details: Job Location: Kikkoman Foods Inc Jefferson Plant - Jefferson, WI, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Second Shift, Summary:

Under the direction of the foreman, the working leader is responsible for assigning, instructing and checking work as delegated by the foreman in each area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working from detail production schedules, make sure each work assignment is properly manned.
• Anticipate changing work schedules and reassign personnel as conditions change to achieve maximum productivity.
• Train operators in the proper operation of equipment and safety working procedures.
• Monitor and assist personnel and equipment to ensure maximum utilization of time and efficient process flow.
• Monitor and report any unusual conditions to foreman to ensure corrections can be made accordingly.
• As instructed by foreman make periodic inspections and provide recommendations.
• During off shift operations, assume responsibility for the safety and security of the plant in addition to supervising help and carrying out work assignments.
• Assume foreman’s duties in their absence.
• Comply with all departmental & company-wide food safety policies & procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Education & Training:

• 3+ years of food manufacturing experience

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to effectively communicate
• Highly detail oriented
• Understanding and knowledge of basic mechanics

Physical & Behavioral:

• Frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear
• Frequently required to reach above shoulders, climb, work at heights, crouch, stoop or kneel
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds usually from floor to waist level, and able to lift 25 pounds repetitively at or above shoulder height
• Ability to work under conditions of high temperature and high humidity for extended periods of time
