Job summary

Kikkoman Foods is seeking a Bottling & Drying Operator for its Walworth, WI facility. This role focuses on the final processing of product prior to delivery, overseeing line operations, and ensuring safe food handling across multiple packaging lines.

You will monitor packaging, adjust line settings, and record data to ensure quality and compliance with GMP/HACCP guidelines on a third shift. Training and steady work are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee system operation and product output to meet targets.
  • Handle product preparation: transport ingredients, operate mixing equipment and transfer to feed tanks.
  • Monitor drying operations and ensure correct product moisture and flow.
  • Package dried product safely and accurately for shipment.
  • Operate discharge systems, fill cases to weight, and transport goods.
  • Record sanitation data and uphold GMP/HACCP standards.
  • Use hoists, forklifts and other lifting devices on the line.
  • Change over machinery for different product sizes and configurations.
  • Record and report production data for traceability.

Job Shift: Third Shift

Summary:

The Bottling & Drying Operator reports to the Utility Operator. This role is primarily responsible for the final processing of product prior to being delivered to customers. This role will oversee various operations ensuring accuracy, efficiency and safe food handling. Below are various responsibilities that may be expected depending on which line an individual is assigned to.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overall system operation and product output.
  • Responsible for product preparation; including but not limited to transportation of ingredients, operating/monitoring mixing equipment, transferring of mixed ingredients to feed tanks, monitoring system drying operations.
  • Responsible for the packaging of dried product, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and safe packaging.
  • Operate and adjust when needed discharge system to fill cases to desired weight.
  • Transportation of raw and finished goods.
  • Record sanitation data.
  • Use of electric hoists, forklifts and other lifting devices to load materials on line.
  • Operate/monitor packaging lines. Control output and perform quality checks.
  • Operates glass/plastic bottle depalletizers, glass bottle line and plastic bottle inspectors, can line robot, pail line denester and lid chute, half gallon line dumping station, packet machine, drum and tote line.
  • Responsible to assist in the changeover of machinery for various sizes of product lines.
  • Record and report various production data.
  • Comply with all established system operation procedures, GMP/HACCP rules and safety guidelines.
  • Comply with all departmental & company-wide food safety policies & procedures.
  • Responsible to report actual or potential food safety concerns to upper management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical & Behavioral:
  • Frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear
  • Frequently required to reach above shoulders, climb, work at heights, crouch, stoop or kneel
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds usually from floor to waist level, and able to lift 25 pounds repetitively at or above shoulder height
  • Ability to work under conditions of high temperature and high humidity for extended periods of time
