Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Electrical Installer for 2nd shift in York, PA. The role focuses on planning, laying out, and installing wiring and control equipment in compliance with NEC and manuals.

The position requires an associate degree or equivalent with related experience, and a forklift license obtainable within three months. Proficiency in reading technical procedures and MATRIX/Layout software is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience.
• Forklift license required; must obtain within three months.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
• Willingness to learn MATRIX and layout drawing software within one year.

Responsibilities

• Plan and install wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment per NEC and manuals.
• Install electrical conduit by measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and assembling.
• Pull wiring through conduit and install control wiring in precut holes.
• Terminate wire according to layout drawings and manuals.
• Install switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels; connect power cables and grounding leads.
• Perform HI-POT testing and observe equipment for hazards and adjustments.
