Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensuring efficient use of materials, equipment, and personnel while driving cost containment and quality.

The role requires a strong background in life sciences or engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing with leadership experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. This is a hands-on supervisory position with cross-functional responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school completion or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (life science, chemistry, or engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Life science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or chemical production experience required.
• Experience in cGMP manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise manufacturing employees.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver products per procedures.
• Train, coach, and motivate manufacturing employees with effective leadership and performance feedback.
• Monitor and improve efficiency, output, and safety of manufacturing processes through data collection and analysis.
• Ensure manufacturing processes follow Batch Records, cGMPs, SOPs, and Work Instructions.
• Investigate and eliminate departmental non-conformities using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Participate in ISO audits and internal/customer audits.
• Collaborate with internal departments to meet customer commitments on time.
