Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Welder for 2nd shift in Florida. You will operate robotic and manual MIG weld machines, inspect your work, and perform in-station repairs to fix defective welds.

You will follow standard work, use 5S and CPS principles, and contribute to safe, defect-free components. We offer Day ONE benefits, a quarterly bonus potential, and a competitive wage with shift premium.

Qualifications

• Must have welding operation experience.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive operations.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Top candidates: blueprint reading experience.
• Top candidates: Microsoft Office applications experience.
• Top candidates: team player and multi-trained.
• Top candidates: strong communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding machines, including robotic MIG welders.
• Inspect own work using weld gauges and measuring tools.
• Perform in-station repairs on welds using carbon air arc and grinders.
• Clear robotic welding system faults as needed.
• Move heavy components up to 35 lbs to position in weld fixtures.
• Perform routine maintenance such as wire, tip, and nozzle changes.
• Follow procedures, routings, and blueprints to ensure safe, defect-free parts.
• Apply 5S and CPS principles and contribute to continuous improvement.
