Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria, IL is hiring MIG welders for the 2nd shift (Sun-Thu 10:00 pm–6:00 am). This full-time production welding role offers Day 1 benefits, PPE, safety gear, and a structured training path including weld qualification testing.

You will perform MIG and GMAW welding on steel components, operate robotic welders, and follow standard work and safety procedures. A minimum of 1 year welding experience or a welding certification is required, with ability to weld 1/2 inch steel

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of production MIG or GMAW welding experience in an industrial setting.
• A welding certification from an accredited college or institution.
• Experience welding steel 1/2 inch thickness or greater.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and GMAW welding on steel components.
• Weld plain and alloy steel in all positions.
• Operate robotic welding equipment in a production environment.
• Follow standard work, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
• Perform carbon arc cutting and gouging.
• Use overhead cranes and jib cranes to position materials.
