Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in all weld processes.
• Successfully complete 2G weld test.
• Successfully complete 4G weld test (1 hour familiarization allowed).
• Ability to learn and perform mag particle weld test.
• Proficient at reading prints.
• Work with small hand tools.

Responsibilities

• From prints, set up component tank parts such as stacks and sub assembly parts onto and inside shells with the aid of jigs and fixtures.
• Welds material together to form component parts for tanks following weld symbols.
• Measures, fits, tacks, and welds components onto shells using short arc or stick welding.
• Grinds shell to ensure proper joint as per print specification.
• Welds components onto shells according to ASME code and quality standards.
• Visually inspect welds and notify maintenance of machine malfunctions.
