Job summary

Caterpillar Remanufacturing in Booneville, MS is hiring for an Assembly I position. You will perform basic assembly operations in a fast-paced, safety-conscious team environment with some cross-training opportunities across Salary Grade 1 areas.

The role requires reading standard work instructions, using hand/power tools and following production schedules. It includes 2nd shift with a 7% night premium and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data)
• Required to read/write and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality focused team environment to perform various assembly processes.
• Knowledge and adherence to contamination control guidelines,
• Will require print reading skills and quality checks, as defined by standard work.
• Will use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, gages, hoists, presses, and other tools as necessary.
• Will be required to follow production schedules
• Will be required to utilize various computer systems including MES, BIQ, Pinpoint and Epix to reference work instructions, prints and perform data entry
• May require utilizing overhead cranes/hoists, and/or electric pallet jack to move parts in and out of area.
• All operators will adhere to Built in Safety guidelines.
• Operator should have attention to detail and be self-motivated.
• Operator is expected to cross train in other areas of operations to provide flexibility.
• Candidate will work in an environment without close supervision.
• Cross training in other positions within Salary Grade 1 may be required based upon basic qualifications and physical requirements being met. Those position could include: Cleaning 1, Disassembly 1 and Logistics 1
