Job summary

nVent is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Team Lead for 2nd shift in Dayton, MN. You will guide daily operations, coach hourly staff, and onboard new workers to ensure safety, quality, and continuous improvement across warehouse processes.

The role requires 2+ years in warehousing, leadership experience preferred, and forklift certification with ability to pass internal tests. Proficiency with computers and warehouse systems is expected.

Qualifications

2+ years of warehouse or distribution experience.
Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred.
Forklift certification and ability to pass internal testing required.
Comfortable using computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, warehouse systems)

Responsibilities

Lead day‑to‑day warehouse operations to meet production and shipping commitments.
Provide work direction, coaching, and support to hourly team members.
Train and onboard new employees and temporary workers.
Monitor daily performance and take action to keep the team on track.
Partner with supervisors and support teams to resolve operational issues.
Promote a safe, organized work environment and reinforce safety expectations.
Identify opportunities for improvement and engage the team in problem‑solving.
Operate equipment such as forklifts and other material handling tools as needed.
