Job summary

US Foods is seeking a 2nd shift supervisor to lead warehouse associates in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure safe, efficient prep and accurate orders while maintaining inventory control and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, interviewing and disciplining employees, monitoring productivity, and coordinating with buyers on shortages and damages. Strong leadership and OSHA/HACCP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• PIT Certification preferred.
• A minimum of three years warehouse distribution and 2 years of supervision/managing hourly workforce and inventory control required.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data; basic computer skills.
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulator requirements; strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 2nd shift staff to ensure safe and efficient preparation of product.
• Coach and counsel associates; interview, hire, review, discipline and termination processes as needed.
• Monitor productivity and mis-picks to ensure shift meets rates and methods; ensure FIFO processes.
• Maintain warehouse safety and equipment; resolve hazards with safety manager as needed.
• Oversee shipping/receiving, cycle counting, and inventory accuracy; coordinate with buyers on shortages and damages.
• Prepare reports and requisitions for repairs, equipment, and replacements.
