RJW Logistics Group is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager in Plainfield, IL for 2nd shift. The person will lead daily operations, schedule staff, and manage inbound/outbound activity while ensuring safety and accuracy in inventory.

Responsibilities include supervising 30+ staff, coordinating carriers, and maintaining orderly, compliant warehouses with strong emphasis on food-safety requirements.

Qualifications

• This role requires 3–5 years of management experience in warehousing.
• Experience with inventory control systems is preferred.
• Ability to lead a team of 30+ across multiple shifts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations on assigned shift.
• Schedule worker hours and manage inbound/outbound loading.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate carrier scheduling for orders.
• Train forklift operators and supervise staff performance.
• Optimize warehouse space and layout usage.
