Job summary

Parker Hannifin in Forest City, NC is seeking a 2nd shift Assembler to assemble valves per detailed plans, blueprints and drawings. You will inspect components during assembly and operate hand tools, gauges, drills, and torque instruments.

You will collaborate with engineering and sales on prototype assemblies, assist testers with troubleshooting, and train new team members while maintaining a clean, organized work area and documenting workmanship. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.
• Experience in assembly/manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient with hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble valves according to plans, blueprints and drawings, ensuring specifications.
• Continuously inspect components during assembly to maintain quality.
• Use hand tools, gauges, drills, arbor presses, and torque instruments effectively.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales on prototype assembly.
• Assist testers with troubleshooting in assembly and testing processes.
• Plan multi-component valve assemblies using pick lists and schematics.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and documentation.
• Perform some electrical assembly tasks as needed.
• Train new team members and share knowledge.
• Uphold high standards of quality, productivity, and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
