Job summary

Flowserve US Inc. seeks a 2nd shift Precision Assembler to prepare assemblies, follow drawings, and document work orders. The role covers assembling equipment, testing as required, and performing disassembly and reassembly during repairs.

You will use micrometers, verniers, CMMs, and torque wrenches to ensure all parts meet specifications while complying with safety rules. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or vocational training.
• 0-2 years relevant experience.
• Workshop experience preferred.
• Knowledge of automation control and electrical components.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic math and measurement conversions.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends.
• Able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing testing when required.
• Demonstrates an advanced understanding of inspection equipment to ensure parts and assemblies are within specifications.
• Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and assemblies are completed properly following procedures.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Operate precision measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, CMM) in a warehouse environment; use hand tools like hydraulic torque wrench and fire torch.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within assembly.
• Compute basic math such as rate, ratio, and percent; convert measurement units as needed.
• Record and communicate results; participate in CIP activities and follow Flowserve policies.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings; write routine reports; communicate with peers and customers.
• Maintain customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality workmanship.
