Job summary

Integrated Power Services is hiring a Utility Operator in Birmingham to clean, strip, and paint AC/DC motor parts during disassembly and assembly. You will use steam cleaners, sand-blasters, and other equipment and work closely with the winding department to ensure quality repairs.

The role requires adherence to safety procedures, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed. IPS emphasizes growth, training, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning and prepping motor parts for repair.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and PPE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Clean internal and external parts of motors, frames, cores, armatures, gears, and housings for repair.
• Operate cleaning equipment (steam cleaners, parts washers, sand-blaster) and repair equipment (dip tanks, VPI systems, burn-out ovens).
• Handle materials using fork trucks/cranes to move motors and parts as needed.
• Paint repaired assembled motors before shipment and maintain work area housekeeping.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.
