Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is hiring a Utility Operator to clean, strip, and paint AC/DC motor parts during disassembly and assembly stages. You will use steam cleaners, sand-blasters, and other equipment, closely collaborating with the winding department while following all safety procedures.

The role requires operating tools and handling motors with forklifts/cranes, performing quality-prep tasks, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform stripping operations to prepare A/C and D/C motor parts and components for repair and assembly.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklift and cranes to deliver and store motors and parts.
• Demonstrated ability to fill out and follow proper procedures consistently.
• Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively.
• Willingness to learn and retain job-related training, operational and safety procedures.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Physical ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean internal and external motor parts and frames for repair.
• Operate cleaning equipment (steam cleaners, parts washers, sand-blaster).
• Operate repair equipment (dip tanks, VPI systems, burnout ovens).
• Inspect and prepare motors and parts for assembly and shipping.
• Move motors and parts using material handling equipment to support workflow.
• Paint repaired motors prior to shipment to customers.
• Maintain area housekeeping and safety practices.
