Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Pads Transformer Assembler - 2nd Shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facility. Core hours are 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, with overtime possible. Hourly rate $18.00 plus a $1.35 shift differential.

The role involves final transformer assembly and cross-center tasks to support efficient and safe production. The position requires ability to lift up to 40 lbs, use hand tools, and follow safety and 5S+ practices while contributing to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• No relocation benefit is being offered; only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Nacogdoches, TX.
• The employer will not sponsor immigration CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or other work visas.
• Preferred: previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks across various work centers, including tank breakdown, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, palletizing, final assembly, and testing.
• Attach and install component parts and sub-assemblies onto transformer tanks (leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands).
• Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system.
• Place and anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks.
• Execute repetitive hand assembly, fitting, and adjustment operations.
• Use small power hand tools as required.
• Assist welders with installation of hoods and seals.
• Address nonconforming parts or products through rework.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials within the manufacturing facility.
• Participate in problem-solving processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Achieve target production rates and meet organizational goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols and 5S+ housekeeping.
• Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
