Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Core Coil Assembler for the Nacogdoches, TX facility on 1st shift. Core hours are Mon-Fri, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., with possible overtime.

Wage is $22.40 per hour plus a $1.35 shift differential. Benefits include health, retirement, parental leave, and educational assistance. You'll assemble transformer cores/sub-assemblies, operate a TIG welder, test units, and perform rework as needed while following specifications and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks across centers: bake oven, coil hot press, core/clamp, Turn-to-Turn testing, low voltage welding/finishing, lead press, stacking.
• Assemble transformer cores and sub-assemblies per customer specs, blueprints, BOMs and SOPs.
• Load cores and coils on the stacking line and stack around coil legs.
• Stack units on pallets, align with order numbers.
• Label units and apply steel banding for security.
• Build sub-assemblies per OPS/quality standards with calibrated tools.
• Operate a TIG welder to weld leads and crossovers; follow wiring diagrams.
• Test finished units for proper ratios and connections; troubleshoot issues.
• Perform rework on damaged parts to meet quality standards.
• Transport racks of finished assemblies to storage areas.
• Identify and scan units for shipping schedules and oven loading sequences.
• Weld lead assemblies as required; use scheduling docs and BOMs.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools/equipment.
