Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Pads Transformer Assembler for the 1st shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facility. The role involves final assembly of electrical transformers, including tank work, sub-assemblies, and testing, with a focus on safety and quality.

Key tasks include loading vacuum systems, mounting components, and supporting welding teams. Physical, hands-on work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow work instructions accurately.
• Able to perform repetitive assembly and hand-assembly tasks.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute final assembly operations for electrical transformers per standard methods.
• Attach components onto transformer tanks and secure sub-assemblies.
• Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system during production.
• Move core/coil assemblies into tanks and position them correctly.
• Assist welders with hood and seal installation where required.
• Maintain safety, 5S+ housekeeping, and quality control practices.

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Pads Transformer Assembler - 1st Shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facilty! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. Below are a few of the outstanding benefits we offer:Health benefits effective day one of employment.Retirement benefits, Paid Parental Leave, Educational Assistance Program, Wellness Reimbursement, and more!What you’ll do:The Pads Transformer Assmbler executes final assembly operations for electricity transformers in accordance with established standard methods and procedures.In this function, you will:• Perform tasks across various work centers, including tank breakdown, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, palletizing, final assembly, and testing.• Attach and install component parts and sub-assemblies onto transformer tanks (e.g., leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands).• Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system.• Place and anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks.• Execute repetitive hand assembly, fitting, and adjustment operations.• Use small power hand tools as required.• Assist welders with the installation of hoods and seals.• Address any nonconforming parts or products through rework.• Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.• Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.• Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.• Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.• Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Nacogdoches, TX facility will be considered.
