Job summary

VIVA USA Inc. seeks Production Worker to join our client division and perform general labor in manufacturing dry type transformers for distribution & power markets. Openings are in Assembly, Welding, and Support departments.

Responsibilities include following safety and quality procedures, using drawings to wind and assemble products, operating winding machines, and monitoring quality. Overtime and cross-training are expected, with teamwork and independent work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and quality procedures and maintain housekeeping standards.
• May use engineering drawings to wind, assemble, and fabricate product to meet customer requirements and deliver.
• Manually assemble materials used in transformer manufacturing; very hands-on process.
• Winders operate semi-automatic and manual winding machines.
• Operate machinery to fabricate materials such as coil, insulation, wire, etc., used in transformer manufacturing.
• Use computer to check schedules and update manufacturing status.
• Complete and maintain paperwork, records, check sheets, etc.
• Operate cranes and fork trucks for material handling.
• Monitor quality of work and address inquiries and problems.
• Participate in continuous improvements initiatives.
• Participate in team meetings and cross-department communications.
• Cross train in multiple skills and assist in training others.
• Must be a team player but able to work independently.
• Available to work overtime including weekends.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
