Job summary

Moog is seeking a Tool Crib Coordinator for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) at our Torrance, CA plant. You will manage gage inspection equipment, calibrations, and tooling setup to support the Machining department and production team.

The role requires strong organization, experience with gage equipment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Lean/Kaizen experience and aerospace industry background are preferred; training may start on 1st shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Otherwise, ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Experience with tool setting and kitting.
• Experience with gage inspection equipment.
• Experience supporting machine shop operations (tooling, inspection gear, racking, cabinets).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Lean/Kaizen experience.
• Aerospace industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for all gage inspection equipment used throughout the Aircraft division’s Machine Shop.
• Ensure gage equipment is calibrated timely and accurately.
• Set up and kit tooling in designated areas to streamline setup and delivery.
• Coordinate processes and lead activities to support department objectives.
• Manage calibration tracking using the TED database and locate/gage needs.
• Return calibrated gages to correct departments and order replacements as needed.
• Work with machinists to find or replace gages during calibration cycles to maintain operations.
• Provide technical expertise on operations, procedures, and regulatory concerns.
