Job summary

Johnson Controls in Largo, FL is seeking a hands-on supervisor for the 2nd shift in a manufacturing setting. You will lead a team of associates, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and coordinate with multiple departments to meet daily goals.

You will champion continuous improvement, manage bottlenecks, and coach staff to develop strong, cross-functional teams while maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to lead change.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with problem solving and analysis.
• English reading/writing proficiency for safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction on processes and procedures while ensuring safety, quality and productivity.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet daily objectives for the team of associates.
• Assign daily tasks, manage priorities, and optimize workflow and capacity.
• Drive safety culture and use JCI tools to train staff on proper processes.
• Collaborate with quality to resolve customer complaints and supplier issues.
• Support overtime and shift changes to meet production needs.
