Job summary

Materion Corporation is seeking a production associate to improve surface finish on rolled tantalum and niobium products. You will set up and operate leveling equipment and shears, sand or grind to remove defects, and assist in rolling mill tasks. Safety and accuracy are essential in this 2nd shift role.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and familiarity with micrometers and calipers. Experience with forklifts/overhead cranes and lockout/tagout training is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years of production experience in manufacturing.
• Basic math skills required.
• Understanding of measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers).
• Good communication and ability to follow written/verbal instructions.
• May require forklift/overhead crane licenses and lockout/tagout training.

Responsibilities

• Sands or grinds rolled materials to remove surface imperfections and meet specs.
• Sets up and operates leveling equipment and shears to meet dimensional specs.
• Assists in handling material in rolling mills under supervision.
• Follows safety PPE requirements and environmental policies.
• Operates with basic measuring instruments and reports issues.
