Job summary

RTX is seeking a highly motivated operations leader to drive sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, and cost reduction for the CS/Shared Services units. This role reports to the Operations Manager and supports 2nd shift with potential first-shift training.

The candidate will oversee scheduling, team-building through toolbox talks, and cross-functional communication, while upholding CORE/ACE/SixSigma philosophies and customer focus across bargaining-unit teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 3+ years in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry.
• Or Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Or Associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Or High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 9+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing direction to skilled bargaining unit employees.
• Leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts.
• Lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction.
• Perform daily supervisor responsibilities including project management, effective communication and execution with support group members.
• Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities.
• Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes.
• Demonstrate a 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and continuous improvement.
• Understanding and ability to drive quality and customer satisfaction through our CORE operating system (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence).
