Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Montpelier, IN is seeking a Sorting Utility Worker for the 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) with training on the 1st shift. You will monitor quality, box and palletize parts, and perform basic machine adjustments while maintaining clean work areas.

You will also operate a forklift, use AS400 for labeling, and enter lot data for each run. Overtime may be required; a strong work ethic is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic mathematical understanding required.
• Forklift operation experience beneficial.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• AS400 label creation familiarity helpful.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality visually and with gauges.
• Box, label and palletize parts.
• Keep pallets stacked and ready to use.
• Load/unload with a PIV and adjust machines as needed.
• Perform basic machine cleanups and remove rejects.
• Enter lot data and reject reason for tracking.
