Job summary
Stanley Black & Decker in Montpelier, IN seeks a Shipping Coordinator for 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) with training on the 1st shift. Starting pay is $24.72 per hour plus a 5% shift differential. Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of shipping, logistics, or warehouse coordination experience, preferably in aerospace or regulated manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and shipping software.
- Experience preparing shipping documents, bills of lading, packing slips, and carrier coordination.
- Knowledge of domestic and basic international shipping requirements; export compliance awareness preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing movement and storage of materials to meet production schedules.
- Compile data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts.
- Prepare shipping documentation including packing slips and bills of lading.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and labeling accuracy prior to shipment.
- Monitor shipments in transit and update stakeholders on status and delays.
- Schedule carrier pickups and coordinate freight quotes.
