Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Assembler I for the Seismic team on the 2nd shift in Reno, NV. The role involves simple bench assembly, basic fastening, and order picking with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will support LEAN initiatives, maintain visual management tools, and participate in Kaizen events to improve shop floor processes. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive hand motions.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English.
• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
• Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
• May use bolts, screws, clips and other fastening devices.
• Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
• Pick, pack and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
• Keeps work areas clean and safe.
• Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: Maintain 5-S throughout shop floor and office areas.
• Track and sustain all visual management tools such as layered audits and OEE boards.
• Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility.
