Job summary

Dixon Quick Coupling, a division of The Dixon Group, is hiring a Screw Machine Operator for the Dallas, NC location on the 2nd shift (2:55 PM–11:25 PM, Mon–Fri). No prior screw machine experience is required; training is provided for mechanically inclined candidates.

You will operate multi-spindle screw machines, read drawings, and use calipers and gauges to ensure parts meet spec. The Dixon Group values veterans and offers growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform shop math.
• Experience with or willingness to learn screw machines.
• Detail-oriented with strong safety mindset.
• Able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate and maintain multi-spindle screw machines, select tools, set feeds and speeds, and load materials.
• Interpret drawings and instructions to produce precise components.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify parts meet specs.
• Perform quality inspections and follow machining processes.
• Fine-tune machines and replace worn tools to sustain accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and support the team as needed.
