Job summary

Woonsocket Education Department is seeking a 2nd shift School Custodian to maintain cleanliness and security of the Woonsocket facilities. Reports to the COO or designee with direction from the School Principal.

Responsibilities include cleaning, minor maintenance, equipment care, and supply management. Candidates should have a high school diploma, English fluency, and a valid driver’s license. Position requires ability to pass the custodian test.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Ability to work days or nights, and weekends as needed.
• Fluency in reading and writing in English is essential
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass the Custodian test with a 70 or higher

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and secure the school facility daily.
• Perform housekeeping and light maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintain custodial equipment and storage areas.
• Clean classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and fixtures.
• Assist with floor cleaning and finishing as required.
• Process requisitions and track cleaning supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned per position needs.
