Job summary

Edsal Manufacturing is seeking a Safety Technician – 2nd Shift to support the Safety Director in implementing Edsal’s safety, health, and environmental programs at our Chicago site.

The role requires OSHA 30 or equivalent, 1–3 years in safety or EHS, and strong attention to detail. Responsibilities include training, incident investigation, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction on the production floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years in safety/EHS or related field preferred.
• OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, ASP, CHST or similar certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate required safety trainings for all employees on site.
• Perform job hazard analyses to identify workplace hazards.
• Assist with OSHA, EPA, DOT and NFPA regulatory compliance.
• Investigate incidents involving property or personnel.
• Coordinate transport of injured employees to medical facilities.
• Prepare management reports and assist OSHA recordkeeping.
