Job summary

EnerSys is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Technician for the Springfield, MO facility on 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will support workplace safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a safety culture across the plant.

The role involves conducting inspections, preparing safety documentation, and coordinating training programs, with emphasis on OSHA regulations and industrial hygiene practices. A manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving equipment is expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in manufacturing, industrial safety, or industrial hygiene.
• English language required for role.
• Understanding of algebra, units, measurement conversions, and calibration techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Employee and Contractor Safety Orientations.
• Deliver EHS training and develop safety programs.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure OSHA and environmental compliance.
• Assist in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain records of inspections, training and compliance.
• Monitor and schedule safety-related tests and air/lead measurements.
