Job summary

Fresh Express Salads in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement and coordinate safety programs across the plant. You will identify conditions that could cause accidents, enforce prevention systems, and assist managers to maintain a safe working environment.

You will compile statistics on exposure factors, standardize safety processes, and conduct supervisory training. The role requires effective written and verbal communication, teamwork, and the ability to train associates

Responsibilities

• Identify daily conditions that could produce accidents or financial losses.
• Enforce accident prevention and loss-control systems in plant policies.
• Assist in implementing safety activities with department managers.
• Compile statistics on exposure factors related to illnesses and accidents and prepare reports.
• Help instill management accountability for safety and health issues within their department.
• Standardize safety processes, policies, and reports.
• Conduct supervisory-level safety and health training.
• Spend approximately 70% of time auditing safety programs inside the plant.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Implements and coordinates Safety program to reduce and eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths and financial losses.

Job Description:

• Identifies by daily audits and appraises conditions which could produce accidents and financial losses.
• Enforces accident prevention and loss control systems and programs for incorporation in operational policies of
• Assist in the implementation of safety activities with department managers to ensure a safe plant
• Assist with Quality system Compile statistical data related to exposure factors concerning occupational illnesses and accidents and prepares reports for information of personnel concerned.
• Help to instill management accountability for safety and health issues within their department/facilities
• Standardize safety processes, safety policies, and reports.
• Conduct supervisory level training in safety and health
• 70% of the time will be spent auditing safety programs inside the plant
• Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills / Certification:
