Job summary

Wickeder Group │ Engineered Materials Solutions in Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Roll Grind Operator to set up and operate precision grinding machines for production grinding of machine work rolls to close tolerances where methods and tooling are predetermined.

Responsibilities include grinding compound angles, radii and contours, selecting and aligning attachments, interpreting blueprints, and dressing grinding wheels.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Related machine experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs operations such as grinding compound angles, internal and external spherical radii, contours and long exact tapers on products.
• Selects, mounts and aligns various specialized attachments and standard tooling.
• Interprets blueprints, sketches and engineering specifications.
• Dresses trues and shapes grinding wheels.
