Job summary

Wickeder Group │ Engineered Materials Solutions in Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Roll Grind Operator to set up and operate precision grinding machines for production grinding of machine work rolls to close tolerances where methods and tooling are predetermined.

Responsibilities include grinding compound angles, radii and contours, selecting and aligning attachments, interpreting blueprints, and dressing grinding wheels.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Related machine experience required.

Engineered Materials Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Roll Grind Operator for our 2nd shift (includes 10% shift premium).

Position Summary: Set up and operate a variety of precision grinding machines to perform production grinding of machine work rolls to close tolerances where grinding methods and sequences are predetermined and established tooling provided.

• Performs operations such as grinding compound angles, internal and external spherical radii, contours and long exact tapers on products
• Selects, mounts and aligns various specialized attachments and standard tooling
• Interprets blueprints, sketches and engineering specifications
• Dresses trues and shapes grinding wheels

Education and Experience

• High School or Equivalency Diploma preferred
• Related machine experience required

Physical Demands

• Lifting up to 40 lbs, Standing may be up to 75% of time
