Job Summary

Colson Group USA is seeking a Weld Technician to work in our welding department. This role involves welding stamped components on automated equipment and by hand. The position includes operating automated welding machinery and learning basic manual welding techniques.

Essential Job Functions

1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings.
2. Reading and interpreting production schedules.
3. Operating and changing over automated welding cells.
4. Performing basic manual welding activities to repair defects.
5. Conducting quality inspections on welded components.
6. Conducting test runs on new fixtures and products.
7. Troubleshooting weld defects.
8. Conducting quality inspections on finished components.

Knowledge

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience
