Responsibilities
  • Use professional MIG welding equipment to complete professional welds that secure our customer's product safely and neatly.
  • Follow a print to frame up the outer shape "skeleton" of a large aluminum cabinet and prepare it for welding.
  • Prepare aluminum "skins" to be mounted on the aluminum "skeleton" following a print.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces using rubbing alcohol and similar non-toxic materials.
  • Utilize highly adhesive mounting tapes to mount the aluminum "skins".
  • Operate large overhead cranes for positioning and relocating partial and completed units.
  • Assist and cross-train into other areas as needed.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • Ability to read a tape measure and use hand tools.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Reliable, with excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tasks by asking questions and fully understanding the work being done.
  • Flexible, cooperative, and interested in learning and doing a variety of jobs.
  • English literacy is essential due to written work instructions, safety labeling, and job-specific documentation.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
