Job summary

GPM Investments is hiring a Cashier/Sales Associate for the Dixie Mart location in Dubach, LA. This role covers midday to 2nd shift (roughly 2 PM to midnight) with weekend and holiday availability and a goal of friendly, efficient service.

You will greet customers, manage the register, and learn lottery, alcohol, and age-verification requirements while maintaining a clean, safe store. Physical work and teamwork are essential, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Age requirement: 18+ for LA location.
• Availability: 2nd shift with weekends/holidays.
• Willingness: Stand and work outdoors/indoors in varied weather.
• English: reading, writing, speaking required.
• Math: basic arithmetic.
• Physical ability: lift 10 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Pre-employment: drug screen and background check.
• Personable and positive demeanor.
• Detail-oriented approach to customer service.
• Reliable and flexible team player.
• Experience: retail or customer service a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and operate register accurately and quickly.
• Learn and follow age verification, alcohol, and lottery rules.
• Upsell when possible to increase sales.
• Keep store clean and safe inside and out.
• Stock shelves and maintain displays.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Support team as needed during shifts.
