Job summary

Brio Living Services in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Part-time Resident Care Assistant for the 2nd shift (2pm - 10:15pm) to enrich residents’ lives through compassionate personal care in memory care and assisted living settings. The role supports daily activities, meals, and safe transfers while maintaining a warm, respectful home environment for residents.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, ensure hydration, and respond quickly to call lights with empathy.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous caregiver experience preferred.
• Experience with activities of daily living (ADLs) preferred.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• Familiarity with EMAR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Hands-On Care – Assist with personal care (ADLS) like bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Support Mealtime – Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for good health.
• Keep Things Moving – Support mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers.
• Perform Vital Checks – Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
• Maintain Comfort & Care – Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well-stocked with essentials.
• Provide Responsive Support – Answer call lights quickly and respond with kindness and compassion.
• Monitor with Watchful Eyes – Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP.
• Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care.
