Job summary

Brio Living Services in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a part-time Resident Care Assistant to support residents in our Assisted Living and memory care areas. Shift is 4pm–10pm (2nd shift), 21 hours per week, with every other weekend requirements.

You'll provide compassionate personal care, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a safe, warm home-like environment for residents. Responsibilities include ADL support, mealtime assistance, mobility and transfers, vital signs, and responsive,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous caregiver experience preferred.
• Experience with ADLs preferred.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• Previous working knowledge of EMAR system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Hands-On Care – Assist with personal care (ADLS) like bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Support Mealtime– Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for good health.
• Keep Things Moving – Support mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers.
• Perform Vital Checks – Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
• Maintain Comfort & Care – Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well-stocked with essentials.
• Provide Responsive Support – Answer call lights quickly and respond with kindness and compassion.
• Monitor with Watchful Eyes – Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP.
• Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care.
