Job summary

Brio Living Services in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Resident Care Assistant for the 2nd shift to provide compassionate personal care and support daily living activities for residents in our assisted living and memory care areas.

You will assist with bathing, grooming, meals, mobility, vital checks, and ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment, reporting changes promptly to leadership where needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous caregiver experience preferred.
• Experience with ADLs preferred.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• Previous working knowledge of EMAR system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Hands-On Care – assist with personal care (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting.
• Support Mealtime – help residents enjoy meals and stay hydrated.
• Keep Things Moving – assist with mobility, transfers and positioning.
• Perform Vital Checks – measure and record vital signs and intake/output.
• Maintain Comfort & Care – keep rooms tidy and well-stocked with essentials.
• Provide Responsive Support – respond quickly to call lights with kindness.
• Monitor with Watchful Eyes – report changes to leadership promptly.
• Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – maintain confidentiality in care.
