Job summary

Siemens Mobility is expanding its locomotive truck overhaul operations in Lexington, NC, and seeks Overhaul Technicians for a 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 2pm–10:30pm) to support critical overhaul work for TSSSA customers.

You will remove, inspect, and fit components, re-profile wheelsets on a state‑of‑the‑art wheel lathe, and safely move trucks with cranes while maintaining quality and safety in a hands‑on team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in a mechanical environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to produce clear, detailed technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform overhaul maintenance on locomotive trucks to meet production plans.
• Remove, inspect, and fit components per work instructions for quality and safety.
• Re-profile train wheelsets using a wheel lathe to restore performance.
• Use pressure washing to pre-clean components ahead of inspection.
• Safely move locomotive trucks with overhead cranes and lifting devices.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure parts availability.
• Maintain workshop organization and support a safe, efficient shop.
