Job summary

Siemens Mobility's Rolling Stock facility in Lexington, NC is hiring a Logistics Transport Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 4:00pm–2:30am). You will support rail vehicle movements, rigging, and loading operations in a high-energy production setting.

You will read blueprints, operate tools, and perform maintenance aligned with production needs. The role requires a high school diploma, equipment experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of hands-on equipment operation experience.
• Proficiency with rigging methods and tie-down techniques.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Support rail vehicle movements throughout the facility.
• Apply mechanical knowledge to daily tasks.
• Prepare flatcars and load vehicles onto flatcars or trailers per procedures.
• Secure vehicles using tie-down methods and materials.
• Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on equipment and rigging.
• Operate hand and power shop tools safely.
• Read and interpret blueprints with precision.
• Assist with facility activities as directed by lead technician.
• Perform maintenance tasks per blueprints and parts lists.
