Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Quality Inspector I for the Chester, VA area on 2nd shift. You will inspect in-process and receiving items, verify conformance to drawings, and document results.

Proficient use of calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools is expected. You will work with minimal supervision, support problem-solving using structured tools, and maintain clean, organized work areas while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and one year tech school or two years of experience in inspection field.

Responsibilities

• Inspect in process and receiving items for defects and conformance.
• Record approved/rejected quantities on inspection reports.
• Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify specs.
• Possibly drive a forklift when required.
• Participate in 6S to maintain safe, organized work areas.
