Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) in Chester, VA is seeking a Quality Inspector I for 2nd shift to inspect in-process and receiving parts onsite. You will use precision tools to verify dimensions, record results, and help identify causes of defects.

Forklift ability and basic PC skills support inspection reports and daily recordkeeping. You will collaborate with manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment, perform 6S duties, and ensure work areas remain safe and organized while following company

Qualifications

• Inspects in process and receiving variations per drawings and specs.
• Records approved/rejected quantities on inspection reports.
• Proficient use of measuring tools and basic handheld instruments.
• May be required to drive a forklift; 6S duties performed.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect surfaces for defects and verify dimensional conformance.
• Document inspection results and investigate causes of deficiencies.
• Utilize calibers, micrometers, hardness tester, and other tools to inspect.
• Maintain safe, organized work areas and assist with production as needed.
