Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Dillon, South Carolina is seeking a Level 1 Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift. You will learn to inspect machined parts, assemblies, and purchased hardware using basic inspection equipment and blueprint reading. Training on the 1st shift is provided as needed.

The role requires 0–1 year in manufacturing, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to work safely in a high-focus environment. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree.
• Prior quality inspection experience a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, process sheets, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• This is a 2nd shift position: Sunday - Thursday 6pm – 4am; training on 1st shift.
• Obtain job assignments from supervisor or manager.
• Work safely following plant safety guidelines and quality processes.
• Adhere to quality processes to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Operate computers and CAD models; collect and report data.
• Interpret drawings and CAD models for evaluation.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area; perform 6S activities.
