Job summary

RTX in Andover, MA is seeking a 2nd Shift Senior Operations Quality Engineer with hands-on hardware quality experience to join the Operations Quality Team within the Microelectronics/RF Technologies organization. This role emphasizes product compliance, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement, with a schedule from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM EST and an 8% shift differential.

The selected candidate will work onsite in a DoD-cleared environment, contributing to baseline metrics, root cause

Qualifications

• BS in STEM field; 5+ years in quality/manufacturing engineering
• Experience with APQP, PFMEA, SPC and quality metrics
• Experience reviewing production hardware and cross-functional problem solving

Responsibilities

• Baseline factory metrics (Scrap, Rework, FPY) and identify improvement opportunities
• Lead cross-functional Defect Prevention Team to drive containment and corrective actions
• Conduct process walks and operator observations to reduce variation and costs
• Lead APQP initiatives (PFMEA, control plans, SPC) and document verification of improvements
• Identify production/supplier escapes and ensure RCCA communication and containment
