Job summary

RTX is seeking a Design Program Quality Engineer to support quality assurance throughout the product design and development phase. The role focuses on identifying and mitigating quality issues early to ensure reliability and compliance with standards.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to implement quality strategies and drive improvements across hardware design. This onsite position is based in Andover, MA with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with two years of relevant experience.
• Experience in hardware design, reliability, and manufacturability assessments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Establish partnerships to implement Quality strategies with Engineering, Program Leaders, IPTs and Functions.
• Evaluate designs and specifications, testing plans, methods, and equipment for reliability and quality compliance.
• Conduct engineering work product reviews, including Peer Reviews, ERB, CCB, ROMB and MRB to identify defects.
• Serve as Engineering Hardware Quality Representative on ERBs, CCBs, ROMBs, and MRBs.
• Evaluate design and manufacturing trade-offs to assess risks or opportunities.
• Work off-site with the engineering design team to ensure hardware is installed and tested.
• Apply design experience to support root cause analysis and corrective actions for improvements.
• Travel to offsite locations as required.
