Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Montpelier, VT is seeking a Punch Press Setup/Operator for 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) with training on 1st shift. The role includes operating the punch press, reading measuring tools, and performing die-setups to ensure quality parts.

The position offers a starting wage of $24.02 per hour plus a 5% shift differential. You will move materials, load and unload dies, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while complying with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• General mechanical knowledge and ability.
• Drive and operate forklift.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Basic mathematical understanding (add/subtract/units).
• Common sense to follow work instructions.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Operate punch press.
• Read measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers).
• Perform adjustments and replacements to maintain quality parts.
• Complete all die setups in press.
• Load steel; move scrap and finished parts from machinery.
• Operate PIV to deliver tubs and raw material to machinery.
• Use cranes to move steel within department.
• Operate die cart to load/unload and transport dies.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
