Job summary

Quintall in Mason, Ohio seeks an experienced Shift Leader for the Machining cluster on the second shift. You will oversee the production and logistic flow, impact quality, cost and delivery performance, and lead a dedicated team to meet daily targets.

Responsibilities include ensuring staff availability, managing line standards, coordinating with logistics, conducting daily Shopfloor meetings, and driving continuous improvement within the line.

Qualifications

• General computer proficiency.
• Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Knowledge of OPEX production management methods.
• Knowledge of quality control processes.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of products produced on the line.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Leadership skills and people management.

Responsibilities

• Assures smooth shift flow for people, machines and materials.
• Manages staff availability according to qualifications.
• Replaces missing colleagues on the line on demand.
• Prepares machines, people and materials for the next shift during handover.
• Develops and maintains standardized work and monitors deviations.
• Maintains shift priorities and production plan.
• Monitors performance against daily indicators and objectives.
• Engages in problem solving and escalates as needed.
• Conducts daily small-group meetings and supports continuous improvement.
